Spring in Review

Turns out, this lady is not so great at blog upkeep, keeping camera handy OR returning phone calls...mercy, please!  However, I have managed to keep 3 kids alive AND smiling!
Their smiles have grown and changed a bit since you last saw them, so I wanted to share a few (okay, a few x 5) of my favorite pics from our Spring!

Mrs. Duberstein's Art Show...probably their most favorite hobby so far! Weekly art lessons that culminate in a precious showing of all their talent...and, in a castle to boot!  Yes, please!
Come visit all of our new art adorning our walls!

2PC Spring Soccer...
**Disclaimer**  Pictures are a bit deceiving.  While Amelia did have a blast and look the part, we by no means have mad soccer skills.  However, she was mighty cute flitting and kicking about.  Cousin V on the other hand, has a bright soccer future ahead.  She averaged about 4 goals/game!

Tillie turns 4!
Easter Walk-Through at CMDS.  Sweet, sweet tradition where 1-6th grade students depict the life of Christ and then every student nails a flower to the cross at the end.  Loved this special day!
Easter Week

Last Day of Pre K...BIG tear! Sure am going to miss seeing this sweet face every day.  We love you, Mrs. Hayden!

The sun finally arrived and so did this moon!  Have a feeling it's going to be out A LOT this summer:)  Can't wait to see his face when he's old enough to realize that Hello Kitty is smiling below him!!!

Cousin Catie's wedding in Franklin, TN.  These little attendants felt like royalty and loved every minute!

Okay, had to include a few from Christmas, too!  Yup, it's been THAT long!

Sweet little tradition of the Peabody at Christmas, Huey's dinner and carriage ride downtown

 Santa Visit

CMDS Christmas Program

Safe to say that we've loved our first year at CMDS!  Can't believe it has come and gone and Kindergarten is right around the bend.

THE END!

Boys Will be Boys...

Nothing but mud, sticks and some furry friends...and PRESTO...smiles for days.  It's amazing how easily intrigued our counterparts are when at the farm.  Okay, I admit, us mommas were too (that day)...but we don't need to admit that to the boys now do we?  The girls, on the other hand, blend right in.  I think some of their girly genes got a tad confused in utero:)!

Check out our cute little ones!!

Always in search of a good stick!

Bottoms Up
Sweet Charlie

Like Father, Like Son
Wheeler!!!
Tillie's ensemble just cracks me up.  Hearts, polka dots, red boots and girly camo...
Anything goes at the farm!
The Wetter, The Better

This just might be my favorite shot of all time!  My heart bursts for Big Hunt when I see him at the farm with his boy!!

One of my all time favorite weekends... Come back soon,  Moss's!
We love you guys!!!

And, here's to the big boys...and those furry friends.
 Nice buck, Eddie!

Merpeople and the Ever Changing Goldie

A fun Halloween week is always followed by spooky attitudes, ghastly drama and horrific behavior at our house.  Not sure if it's the sugar or the sugar, but it sure does a number on these little ones. It's like they went to bed Amelia, Tillie and Hunt and woke up "in character"...and I won't mention the characters that come to mind;).  Glad I've got a whole year to recoup!

On a more positive note, we did have a super fun week!  We managed to squeeze in the girl's Fall Festival, Spirit Week and Halloween parties at school, AND the neighborhood hayride and bar-b-q...all before ringing the first door bell!

Getting Jiggy with Mrs. Hayden and friends.
Pajama Day
Camo Day
Merladies and the Inattentive Goldfish
The Stick-Collecting Goldfish
The Hungry Goldfish...eating his fellow Goldfriends
The Preoccupied Goldfish

We love V!!!
Got our hair did at the Fall Festival!
Faces, too!
Vampires have fangs AND tongues... Who knew?
Boo!
Mama got crafty

Next year we are going to have Protein Week preceding Halloween Week in attempts to counteract the mass influx of sugar.  Will keep you posted!

Autumnal

-of or relating to Autumn

Heard this word from a friend for the first time a couple years back.  I just think I sound so intellectual and interesting when I use it.  So...I use it A LOT...around my kids that is.  They seem to be the only ones I can convince that I am, indeed, intellectual AND interesting. Ha!

Getting to the point...we Treadwells had a very Autumnal weekend here in the Mid-south.  Crisp weather, bonfires, corduroy AND a pumpkin patch.  Yes, we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.  This year it was Cedar Hill Farms in Hernando, MS as opposed to our beloved Hayden, AL Patch...tear.  Super impressed with this little farm, though.  Our visit included pony rides, hayrides, zip lines, a giant corn maize, homemade pumpkin donuts and, to top it all off, a piggy race...double Ha!  I'm not sure who enjoyed the day more , the kids or the adults!

Happy Autumn, y'all!

Piggy Races!!
