Rolling into Spring...

So, we've been rather busy passing the fever virus, poison ivy and bacterial infections around this house as of late... BUT...somehow we have managed to squeeze a few fun Spring/Easter activities into the mix!

Our Spring Break was cut short last Tuesday when Mr. Fever virus knocked on Amelia's door.... Luckily, that morning we had had a fun park/lunch date with our good buddies Wheeler and Blair and some of their friends and then later squeezed in our first impromptu sprinkler party of the year!  That was the social extent of our week... Days 3-8 Amelia spent on the couch and Miss Tillie spent them decorating our walls, windows, an antique table, carpet, and yes, our television!  "With what?" you might ask... My answer to that is crayons, Sharpie, and remnants from the potty!  Not the usual fabric, paint or flowers that I typically turn to to jazz things up a notch, but hey, character was added none the less!

Due to this blatant cue from Miss Tillie, we turned to the back porch and to Mr. Sunshine to relieve both our stresses. Yes, it was glorious soaking up the first rays of Spring sun, playing barefoot in the lush weeds we call our lawn, and admiring all the green buds bursting forth out of the ground, but I am still weighing the pros vs. cons of the before mentioned and the aftermath...poison ivy COVERING my face and polka-dotting my legs!  10 days later, I'm still scratching and still clinging to Magic Eraser to rid our house of graffiti!

Amidst all the chaos occurring at 523 Broadway Street, we have managed to squeeze in a sugary sweet birthday party for one of our favorite curly haired friends, an Easter egg dying play date at the park, some grilling out and the annual Dawson Egg Hunt, all of which provided sweet reminders of how important friends, fellowship and sugar are to our sanity and our soul!  Here are a few cute pics from the festivities...

Next month's title will be "Waddling into Summer!" JK...hopefully there will be a few more posts before we get to the waddling:)
