I gave January a high-five as it closed the doors of hunting season this year. However, I failed to remember how Spring ushers in a two month long Turkey-crazed-fever. Even better...the sport of fishing, be it dock-side or sea-side, seems to be a perpetual way of life if you are a Treadwell. So, as of late, our home has become the final resting place for many a furry, feathery, slimy thing! Be it turkey, fish, quail, turtle, wormies, duck or deer, they all have stood before the judgement throne of Hunt and been deemed worthy of his adoration...and his appetite. If it only stopped here! Apparently Miss Amelia, my prissy, sweet, not-a drop-on-her-clothes kind of girl has taken a liking to the gaming industry...and ALL that goes along with it. From digging wormies out of the ground to holding feathers and body limbs for Hunt as he cleans his latest kill, this girl digs (pun intended) it all! Should I be nervous??? That is the hot topic of debate behind these doors lately. Yes, I want a well-rounded daughter that adores everything about her daddy and being with him...just not EVERYTHING!:)

I must admit, this new passion for Amelia has proved to be a wonderful intro to Anatomy for the girls AND has provided lots of fun memories of shared times with family and friends in the great outdoors. But for the record, my vote tends to lean more towards the Botanical Gardens rather than the woods!
